Yo Gabba Gabba! is a kids TV show on Nick Jr for all children 1 years or older. Each episode is filled with fun exciting times with DJ Lance and his friends, which as colorful and happy toy monster cartoons with different colors. They roam the magical land and create fun times for all toddlers through music, dance and simple life learning situations. The show is both entertaining and educational for all children, while upbeat and cool at the same time. It has lots of simple little educational pieces in each episode which helps your kids excel at life.
The most exciting part is how many kids absolutely LOVE TO DANCE to their catchy songs and simply lyrics. All you need to do is put on the TV and let them watch, you’ll soon hear them sing and dance along to the simple music… YO GABBA GABBA!
Each of the episodes will teach your kids about some kind of social topic such as love, food, family, pets or sleeping. I really love this about the show, it’s quite educational at the same time as relaxing my kids during the morning or afternoon. You will also get “drawing” lessons making the kids better be able to relate to certain objects for example if they are building a tree house or a clubhouse to play in, they will draw pictures of hammers, screwdrivers and wood. This helps teach your kids about basic objects around the home and what they can be used for.
Other lessons include counting, such as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. This is a great show relating VISUAL OBJECTS to words and situations. It will also help teach your children about companionship, friendship, love and making everyone play together and not leaving anybody out… Be nice and people are nice back. This along with nice music, dance and simple tunes makes this show superb for any parent to watch with their children…
Here I wanted to introduce you to the characters of the show and tell you a little bit about them.
The host of the show is DJ Lance,
DJ Lance will start off each episode with an introduction then move on to kick start the episode with the magical words: Yo Gabba Gabba! This part is meant to get the kids in a good mood and feel a connection with the characters, so they can immediately relax and begin taking in all the fun they are about to see. It’s a perfect start to any day if you ask me. He is a fun and extremely nice character making the kids love him a lot. He’s also the host during any live events or live concerts during the Yo Gabba Gabba tour which could show up anywhere near you at any time.

Muno
Muno is another character of the show. He is the red cyclops having only one eye. This makes him clumsy at times and he has been known to accidentally break or damage things. Despite this, he’s friendy, well mannered, but also wants to do things right away. People may see him as impatient or “fast paced” and many kids love him. Muno is a learner. He’s the kind of toy who loves to learn new things and is very outgoing and likes to talk a lot. I personally think he’s quite the cutie
Foofa
Foofa, the pink character, who might also be recognized as the pink flower-bubble. She’s the most outgoing of the group. She loves to giggle, laugh and is generally happy about everything. She’s quite a bubbly little flower so to speak. She absolutely loves everything cuddly, cute, fluffy or fun. She doesn’t get very happy if she doesn’t get things her way and can be known to have mood swings if something goes against her will. This however makes her more fun to watch and young girls absolutely adore Foofa! She’s many girls absolute favorite character on the show.
Brobee
Brobee is our beloved green character. He has a very cute lisp and is sometimes unsure of himself. His mouth can be happy or sad, meaning it has the curve of a happy face or a sad face depending on his mood. This makes him very cute and personable. He’s often with Muno as his friend and they enjoy doing things together. He’s a little bit weary of going into new situations and needs a little bit of a boost from friends to help him make the right decision. When he learns new things he gets a much needed boost in confidence that his friends notice straight away.
Toodee
Toodee is the blue cat-dragon. She’s the intelligent one and likes to play with Foofa. She is the sporty one and loves to dance that extra mile… She is a nice companion to the other toys, but sometimes she gets a little bit selfish. Her character will teach your kids to move, dance and be playful with the other kids.
I really like the dynamic of the group. I also love the show as they will be bouncing back between play (theatrical), cartoon (drawings) and real kids commenting on the characters or what they love to do. You’ll also see real life people joining the show with some dancing, singing etc to lighten up the mood. This helps make the show dynamic and entertaining. Hopefully you love this show as much as I do…
